The three principal leaders of the revolution against Lukashenko in Belarus, Svetlana, Veronika y Maria come together in this photo in a campaign to oust Lukashenko. Kolesnikova was the only one of the three opposition leaders to have not yet abandoned Belarus out of safety concerns. Europe and especially Germany are doing what they can to negotiate a return to democracy in Belarus, but Putin supports the dictator Lukashenko, serving as an obstacle to his removal. Hundreds of thousands of protesters have again flooded the streets of minsk calling for Maria´s freedom and safety.
